Bill AB 165 provides a means for taxpayers to contribute funds to Scholarship Organizations in lieu of paying all or part of the excise tax currently mandated by the Nevada Department of Taxation.

The Injured Police Officers’ Fund is proud to announce that we are now part of this exciting opportunity that allows low income (within 300% of the Federal Poverty Level) families access to private school education for grades K-12. The school must be on the Department of Education’s list of registered schools.

The Nevada Department of Education is responsible for determining the maximum amount of scholarship funding any one student may receive based on the Consumer Price Index. The maximum scholarship amount for 2023-2024 is $8,726.00.

Scholarships will be funded in the order of receipt of completed application, with returning families having priority.
