Police Officer Phil Closi died from complications as a result of contracting COVID-19 in the line of duty.

Officer Closi had served with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department for 21 years. He is survived by his wife, daughter, son, father, brother, sister, and nephew.

The LVMPD understands the community can be very generous and we are asking them to not provide donations to random sites due to fraudulent accounts being created.
